What an amazing mood to be in

ReplyDeleteHere in the Northwest Corner those trees that always turn first are turning. The brooks are full. Gardens are already spoken of in the past tense. Pumpkins are about. Curious deer stand in meadows flush with goldenrod and gaze at you. Locals are scrambling to fill seats at fall fundraisers. Numbers of AT through hikers peaked a month ago. Weekenders and their guests are taking their morning coffee wearing their snappy new down vests. Many are strolling around with their “seeing me dogs.” Summertime has come and gone my oh my.

ReplyDeleteI've been fighting it hard, but since Tuesday is the first day of Autumn, I guess it's beyond my control. It's my favorite time of year but I hate to see summer go. So with that, Tuesday, the fall and Halloween decorations come out and I couldn't be more excited! --H in Pa
