A reader question:
Hi Muffy,
May I ask the readers a question please.
As autumn approaches and the weather cools, what particular item of clothing are the readers looking forward to wearing again (a difficult job I know, to narrow it down).
Personally I'm looking forward to getting back into my tweed hacking jackets (in fact it was cool enough this morning to wear one).
Cubbing begins this weekend. Looking forward to putting on my tweed coat and brown boots.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
DeleteLike so many, I always look forward to the seasonal rite of passage when my summer things are stored away for another year - after having happily accompanied me through the often too hot weather – followed by the welcome appearance of my autumn clothing once again.
ReplyDeleteI find the tilting of our planet to be perfectly timed to balance the seasons. Not too long, not too short. Every year, I eventually grow tired of the warm weather, and long for the cooler shorter days, and then vice versa (there’s just so much winter duration I can endure.)
My favorite? Well, I really enjoy breaking out my wonderful tweed collection from Cordings – tweed hacking jackets, a tweed Field Coat, a Follifoot Bark Coat, a pair of tweed Plus Twos, tweed caps, and an exceptionally handsome three-piece tweed country suit.
Now please bring on the cold weather – I’m ready.
Barbour jackets, bean field coats, corduroy pants, french terry sweatshirts
ReplyDeleteCorduroy pants and OCBDs.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than that first time I put on my J Press Shaggy Dog sweater over my thickest oxford cloth shirt. Question for Anonymous at 3:50 PM - where do you find French terry sweatshirts? All I can find are fleece and I hate fleece. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteBean field coat. JDV
ReplyDeleteBlended alpaca and silk scarves.
ReplyDelete6:08 I encourage you to search LOOPWHEELER. I believe you (and other readers) will be pleasantly surprised.
