Now you already know my views on this Muffy. We love bright coloured trousers over here in the countryside! Nothing better than a nice tweed jacket and a pair of bright cords e.g. purple, yellow or rasberry as above, or a blue blazer with a pair of pink cotton drill trousers. I have cords and cotton drill trousers in many bright colours. It's a misconception that clothing in the countryside is all dull greens and browns (other than in the shooting field)
ReplyDeleteI like the DARK green and browns but the British can keep the bright colors.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I will stick to the traditionally Breton Reds!
ReplyDeleteThe classics, will out!
ReplyDeleteYes the classics-- purple, yellow, bright green, pink, bright blue and tan.
DeleteYou missed out orange and crimson red in the classics list!
DeleteJust add a tweed jacket in a window pane check, tattersall shirt and complimentary Shetland jumper.
Ideally the window pane check should have the colour of the trousers in it
DeleteSome might wear bright colour trousers, but they get mocked for it. The famous red trouser blog springs to mind.
ReplyDeleteOnly in your world
DeleteI dye white cotton painters pants and have a pair in this royal purple.
