  3. Old barns often offer virtually limitless photographic opportunities. Yours, from the overall mis en scene to easily overlooked details, are very astute. More, please. Thank you.

  4. Bushel baskets! Three cheers for bushel baskets. When was the last time you heard those words said out loud? Go ahead, say them “bushel baskets!”

  5. You’re right. I tried it it works. What else should we say we see? How about “galvanized buckets!”

  6. Beautiful! Spring is much farther along there than it is here in the Finger Lakes in Central New York.

    1. Yes, we have the same observation, even though we live in the Nutmeg State. Here in the northwest corner spring is no where near in evidence as it is, evidently, along the shoreline. We fear not however. Spring will come. It always does. But - one never knows when. Last year we were two weeks ahead of the calendar at the end of March. By the middle of May we were two weeks behind. It was a damp and chilly covid conscious spring. Who knows what 2022 will bring? Nobody knows. That’s life!

  9. There are many stone faces in the walls around the Whitfield house grounds. Walk slowly and give your imagination a long leash.
