  4. Whatever happened to York River Traders? I have that same boat-tote that was shipped to me free of charge along with a backordered belt a few years ago with no note or anything. Use both all the time.

    1. i was thinking the handle on that tote looked like their work. I like their belts, have one with green webbing and another with blue rigging rope. The brother and sister who started the business closed it at the end of 2019.

    2. I wish ElizaB/Leather Man could pick up the rigging concept in their belts. It would be cool on a pair of sandals for my wife, too.

    3. There are minimalist sandals that would replicate the look and feel of a rope sandal. They are from thin webbing that's less prone to chafing, comfortable for walking. Check out Bedrock, Xero, and Luna.

  8. RE: second photo from the top. Seeing this makes me wish I had reinforcements when my Cuban grandmother who insisted EVERYTHING be starched and ironed would scold me for wearing non-pressed shirts and chinos. I had to rebel somehow.

  9. Even those classic Heywood Wakefield wicker chairs (I'm guessing) seen on so many old-fashioned New England seaside porches.
