      It does seem a bit more posh than our gaff rigged Cornish Crabber, doesn't it. Still is a labor of love, I'm sure.

    My memories of winter boat care run more to sanding marine plywood, preparing a classic Moth for paint and varnish. Raw red knuckles, wood dust on snow, not enough action to stay truly warm, but my she looked smart in the spring!

    Before shrink-wrapping we washed everything down with fresh inside and out after removing things to be stored dray and safe. We'll be varnishing all sections of the cabin sole and installing a deck prism in the forward hatch this winter... indoors in our new heated shop! Along the way I got a great tip for draining all water in the bilge to keep the pumps from freezing and cracking: a turkey baster to suck up every last drop, then sponging after.
