The Lotuff Triumph is a perfect briefcase for people who need a briefcase but don't want it to be so briefcasey.  There are no clasps.  There is nothing that swings open.  Instead, the Triumph has evolved up from the understated document holder.  It sets a tone, rather than demands attention.

But it is also the beneficiary of a tremendous amount of rigorous thinking.  The two interior pockets protect phones and tablets, but also add significant structure.  The rich leather nattily stands up without slouching. There are just enough interior pockets.  The asymmetrical zippered top and gussets make finding anything easy, and stowing anything nearly instantaneous.  And the hardware is just a pleasure to use.
