The Fawn Yellow English Cord Trouser from London's Harvie & Hudson

Corduroy enjoys a broader range today than its long history might imply.  Soft and hard wearing, corduroy trousers can range from the casual, baggier and more professorial look to, today, a somewhat more formal look with a trimmer cut.

Jermyn Street's Harvie & Hudson offers the latter,  their English Cord Trouser, shown here in Fawn Yellow.

  3. The English also have side D-ring tab cords model for the gentlemen who prefer not wear a belt, but braces are also an option with that style trousers I believe Cordings also has that offering!

  4. These are nice pants. Are cords worn without cuffs?

  5. I prefer the old (discontinued) LL Bean Country Cords and , thankfully, was able to stock up on tan at one of the outlets.

  6. Cordings' corduroy trousers are 25% cheaper and much better quality. They are included in the buy one, get one half price offer each season. Farlows' cords, similarly priced, have belt loops and are made in England too.
