How ironic that the campus in New Haven appears so often in your photography. It is one of the least "Thing Before" places on the planet as of August, 2026. Maybe the least. Perhaps you might journey a little farther in Connecticut and visit Camp Trin Trin for a few hours, or venture all the way out to St. Lawrence, home of the Lax Bro.
Maybe the percentage is shrinking as the years go by, but there are still some old school preppy wasps at Yale. There is something special about being in a tiny minority. The idea that we have to be wallowing in the thing before prep is ridiculous. There is a beauty in being rare.
So old hydrangeas never die? They just roll away?
ReplyDeleteSuper photographs. Autumn's nearly here. Cool enough for tattersalls, moleskin and Barbours now here in Yorkshire!

ReplyDeleteI’ll pretend I never read this….
DeleteI'll pretend you know something about what you are pretending to forget.

DeleteLike I said, I’ll pretend that you know some old school preppy wasps at Yale if it makes you pretend more efficiently.
DeleteThe only old school preppy wasps at Yale are buried in the Chapel Street Cemetery.
DeleteNot true
Delete“ Some” might mean 50 or even 25.
DeleteI’m loving those pics of Fall clothing. Ready for cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteThe season is close at hand! YEAH! Thanks once again, for the most wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the Mercer tattersall shirt. Does it have mother of pearl or real shell buttons? It deserves better than plastic.
ReplyDeleteMouse Island - spotting it on a very foggy day guided our way home.
ReplyDeleteThanks for identifying that cute little house with green shutters on that cute little island. Glad it helped you find your way home in the fog.
ReplyDeleteMuffy, unfortunately it may be time to make SWNE, PG17
