  1. Sometimes I don't know which is better - fond memories of past Christmases or the anticipation of Christmases to come . Either way - I love this time of year !

  2. These are great photos. Thank you. Love the candy canes at 9 West 57th Street. Which beautiful church is that? Anything Christmas related at Grand Central works for me. And Union Station New Haven, thank goodness they’re not selling donuts and bagels in the middle of the station. What a gem.

    1. The interior shot is Saint Thomas Church on 5th. The Congregational Church exterior is on the Guilford, CT green.

  4. Muffy, if it wouldn't be divulging any protected private information, could you tell us a bit more about the interesting old house in pic 4, such as its age and general location? I admire the unpainted clapboards - very authentic.

    1. It is the Dan Collins House, 1772, on the Guilford, CT green. I always knew it as the Greene Gallery, one of the lovely places we registered for our wedding.

  6. Gosh what rather wonderful pictures and most particularly the one taken by your father of what looks like people from a hunt . I was not aware that hunting was carried out in the States but jolly good show anyway. This is probably the last time that our hunt will be out on Boxing Day (26th Dec.) before so called drag hunting is banned in Great Britain . It will remain for our dear cousins across the pond to uphold what we probably will have lost in the next twelve months. Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year to you Muffy and Cousins in the States .
