Our only Bean tote is over 22 years old, stained but perfectly functional. We have a 25+ year old Lands End tote from when they still used real canvas. Monogrammed with our two daughters' initial, gifts when they were born. I refuse to replace either of them. I'm tempted by Steele's 'steeletex' (heavy-gauge vinyl) beach bags; it would be nice to just hose them off and let them hang to dry.
Getcha a little canoe for your trunk to hold them, like at the Bean's outlets. Getting them with someone else's monogram for pennies on the pound is priceless.
I think I’ve got about 13 Bean Boat n’ Totes; all but 1 in size large or extra large. I got most of them back when you could choose the color for the body of the bag as well as the handles; too bad you can’t do that anymore. All of them are in use all of the time; some have spent many years going all over the world with me. There are some in the back of the car for Costco trips, to hold dog and horse supplies and some car accessories. I keep my golden retriever’s toys in them, they hold out of season clothes and a lot of books. I’ll likely order more; I seem to have a bit of an addiction to them, and there is a lovely new light blue color I don’t have yet.
Too many Bean canvas tote bags... Definitely a First World problem.

ReplyDeleteYou can NEVER have too many bags! Cheers, and thank you, once again!
