My SIL has two Great Pyrenees (photograph 12, I think?) which watch over their assortment of backyard chickens, sheep, goats, etc. They take turns roaming the property looking for threats. Recently a hawk attacked a chicken. One of the Great Pyrenees bolted after it and lunged several feet in the air dispatching the hawk. Very sad for the hawk, but an impressive example of what the GP is bred to do.
Always love the dogs and the cars and this time the ducklings too!
ReplyDeleteMuffy, your photos never disappoint. These are outstanding. I so enjoy your perspective. Thank you as always for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOspreys should be arriving soon in Maine! Our float went in two days ago so it's time to get the boats ready.

ReplyDeleteWhat building is in the very first picture? Lovely brick one with plenty of charm, character and old world charm....
ReplyDeleteI agree with the assessment of this building. I wish more modern buildings adhered to this style.

ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you're having much better weather than we are in the Finger Lakes!
