  1. I see a lot on this site regarding Cording men's shirts...how do they compare to other top shelf brands such as Ledbury, old school Brooks Brothers, etc...thanks much for your thoughts and comments..

  3. I love the looks of the Cordings' mens shirts as well. Would also love someone compare the quality and fit of these to other quality shirts - Mercer, O'Connell's, etc.

    1. Cordings shirts are excellent but a different animal entirely from traditional Ivy staples like those from Brooks or J. Press or Mercer. Spread or modified collars dominate over button-down, and they sit higher on the neck. (Much) longer sleeves and longer torsos. While those available from Cordings are cut fuller than most English and European shirts they are still not as full-cut as Mercer’s or “old school” Brooks. I tend to like their cotton twill tattersalls which obviously are heartier than oxford or broadcloth. The major negative is they recommend against tumble drying.
