A Reader Question: Rancourt’s Byron or Rockwood Boots?
A reader question:
Dear Editor:
I have a question for readers: has anyone tried Rancourt’s Byron or Rockwood Boots? If so, would they recommend them for a business casual, country boot?
Never tried their boots. I can say from their loafers and belts that they make high quality goods. Whether those boots work for you as business casual is really up to you. Alden's Indy boots might be another option, albeit at a higher price point. One of my favorite shoes for business casual is Alden's 9432S plain toe blucher.
I have both the Rancourt Byron boot and Alden Indy. I think I would give the edge to the Rancourt in terms of solid construction. Both are probably made from leather sourced from Horween. Be aware that the Byron seems to run about a 1/2 size large and appears slightly longer due to the cap toe. I prefer to buy my regular size and add a cushioned athletic shoe insole to fill the extra space. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI can’t say enough good things about Rancourt shoes.
ReplyDeleteRancourt! Thanks again!

ReplyDeleteI like to think that the Rancourt is closer to something Dr. Jones would wear to dress up his look and go on an adventure.
DeleteThe issue with Rancourt is the wait time. It's hard to be patient.
ReplyDeleteRancourt, you will not be disappointed in the least.
