I used to wear a lot of pink and green when I was younger, and it remains one of my favourite colour combinations for things besides clothing. I am more circumspect about wearing pink and green now as, at almost 62 years of age, it looks a little puerile on my matronly figure.
That is such an odd comment to make and completely misses the mark. I have never been "fashionable" and have never cared for what passes as trendy; stylish, yes, and I have always had my own style and wear the classics more than not, and that's ever since I can remember! I wear what I like. It is simply that pink and green, although I like it on others and wore quite a bit of it as a youngster, does not suit me now. I prefer the more muted colours, and I also wear quite a bit of navy and green.
I think a "woman of a certain age" (say, 62) would look lovely in pink and green. Perhaps keeping the pink on top with a forest green cardigan? Very cheerful.
Just makes perfect sense!
ReplyDeleteyes opposites on the color wheel

ReplyDeleteGiven what passes for "fashion" these days, I encourage you to wear the classics--age be damned! You're wearing it for you, not anyone else!!!

ReplyDeleteMine too!
DeleteAlways a cheerful and pretty combination! Love this photograph.
ReplyDeleteYes to the combination of pink and green—from the silvered restraint of a Mayfair drawing room to the clarion intensity of high summer at the shore.
ReplyDeleteCardinal and Straw always seemed more attractive to my eye at least.
ReplyDeleteLilly Pulitzer did that in spades.
