Arthur Beale's New Beerenberg, Slightly Redesigned and a New Fab Color! Made in Britain

Photo by Salt Water New England
Arthur Beale has a new color and a slightly redesigned fit for their robust Beerenberg pullover.  While it is still made of the same oiled British wool,  it now has "a stronger neckline knit as well as a better thumb hole position and sleeve length".  With the new neckline, I am completely unaware of the feel of the wool against my neck.

And I am wearing their terrific new color, Dark Grey Natural (undyed, as are all of their own jumpers).

My Beerenberg was warm enough for me not to need my jacket.

  1. Can you confirm if Outdoor Knitwear/TW Kempton is the maker of these for AB? The descriptions are the same, verbatim, on both sites and the details of the thumb hole and cuff look identical, yet direct from TW Kempton is roughly a third the cost of the AB iteration. x3 the price for an AB logo on the sleeve seems quite unreasonable.

  3. During these snowy, bone-chilling, frigid days, I find myself comfortably wearing my AB Black Welsh Mountain Beerenberg both outdoors and indoors on a daily basis. And since it's a Roll Neck, it simplifies what I can wear under it. This one, and it's companion the Erebus Boat Neck, are truly the Roll Royces of heavy pullovers, and definitely worth the price.
