"If you don't like the weather in New England..."

A Hot Yesterday...  (Photos by Salt Water New England)
"Yes, one of the brightest gems in the New England weather is the dazzling uncertainty of it." -  Mark Twain

Note Farmer's sailboat moored in background.

...To Cold Today.  (Old rocker from an old boathouse, two sheepskin fleeces from Ireland, well earned knee hole in khakis, Mercer Bengal stripes, Navy Shetland, Quoddy 4-Eye Bluchers, and the only recently good (seasonal) color tote that Beans have offered, Lawn Green.)

Morning coffee - cool enough for a wool throw.

A wee matchy...

In Contrast

  1. Yes. Dramatic change in the weather. College friends drove from the sunny south to attend their 50th reunion in stifling 90 degree heat (and had a great time with long lost friends) but then came a few hours northeast to spend the weekend with us. We anticipated taking them out to islands in the boat for exploration and picnics, but NOPE, forty degrees, cold rain, biting east winds. Thank goodness we have had a lot to talk about... even reliving my friend's building a raft and floating down the Mississippi from Hannibal MO to "Nawlins" between freshman and sophomore year. Samuel Clemens would have been proud.

  2. Changes yes, but fun along the way!

  3. Don't know what sort of weather you're having where you live, but it has been hazy and in a word rarely seen in weather forecasts, smoky. This is in the Washington, D.C. area. Not too bad, though, but we could use some rain.

  4. I looked at the temperature, tried to convert to Celsius. Decided that I obviously can't do the math, put it in an online calculator and then realised that there's nothing wrong with my math. My goodness. Is this normal for June or is it relatively cold for this time of the year? Kind regards from South Africa.
