Yesterday I drove back home (mid-Massachusetts) from northern Vermont and the difference between VT's bare trees and MA's leafy flowering abundance was quite remarkable.
Nice day! Just as Connecticut is further into spring than Northern Vermont, the DC metro is pretty lush now, especially after ark-like rain over the weekend.
To be honest it doesn’t look very green Here in the UK the countryside is exploding in greenery with the white of frothy cow parsley and blackthorn exploding in white profusion in the hedges The bluebells just starting to go over The season of mowing the lawns every 2/3 days
Thanks so much for those bright and beautiful white houses and picket fences! Love them!

ReplyDeleteGreat shots. And later this week we should finally have some consistent warmth in the region to match that sunshine.

ReplyDeleteFunny.. I have always loved boats; however I don't like the water and don't swim.
ReplyDeleteThis is not unusual. You’re more often drier and better for that.
DeleteLovely
ReplyDeleteHeavenly! I love the little white cottage most of all, as well as the fluffy Sheltie.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful, quietly bustling place. I always appreciate your miniature sightseeing tours.

ReplyDeleteThis is New England m’ lassie (lad?). The green won’t explode til the third week in May, at the earliest. June is our sweetest month.
DeleteWhat a wonderful way to pass the afternoon, with such superb photos! Thank you so very much!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I would love to see more photos of the Annie Laurie.
