For an upcoming trip, the Cordings' Tweed Clipper Bag will be a perfect carry-on bag.  It is a secure way to transport about as much as you want to carry around with you, and it is light, sturdy, and tweed.

It bridges the two worlds—luggage for commercial travel and luggage for visiting friends—perfectly.
