Splendid, as always! I have my mom's button collection, 50 years old and counting... and have always loved sifting through its contents. While I have used some to decorate a box I have never thought about creating a picture. Wonderful idea.
There used to be the cutest shop in Marblehead that sold jewelry made from antique buttons. Thought of it when I saw the wonderful picture of buttons here. Nice to know pretty ones have other purposes than fastening clothing. And I agree that house is stunning. Just wish I knew where it is. Looks like Rhode Island architecture to me....but it could be anywhere.
What in god's name is that fellow doing to the other guy in the last of those painted tiles? I don't think they're playing about... Hopefully, it's just a bit of medieval field dentistry!
What a neat collection of photographs. Love that "back" stairway!
ReplyDeleteLost myself in these. Just what I needed. Thank you.
