Red apples are generally my favorites, no matter the variety. I like Granny Smiths but struggle to pick a green apple when shopping. Being a “red” person I can’t believe I have just discovered a kinda odd looking very colorful yellow/gold apple that is good sized and dense with a wonderful taste, for me that is. The presentation or visual appeal may not rival a red apple but the Opal is near the top in taste.
One could have a far less healthy breakfast.
ReplyDeleteSheer perfection! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteRabbit, rabbit!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful china! A healthy, but not my kind of breakfast. Bon appétit!
ReplyDeleteclean and simple. and beautiful too! love it. xo
ReplyDeleteYum! Whole grain toast would complete this meal for me. Or is this a snack? In which case, perfect.
ReplyDeletethose apples are calling out for a baguette and Cowgirl Creamery's Mt. Tam or a local soft-ripened equivalent.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, we think alike. Mt. Tam would be perfection, as would Harbison for a New England choice. Cheers!

ReplyDeleteWhat pattern is this, Muffy? it’s just lovely.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Wedgewood Kutani Crane. It was my cousin Kit's pattern.
DeleteLimoges Theodore Haviland
DeleteSo much for fifty year old memory...should have stayed quiet or looked it up. The Limoges has a very nice gold border.
