Dubarry of Ireland is well known and respected for their beautifully made Country Boots and Sailing Boots, and they apply the same high standards and thoughtful details to their classic Boat Shoes. Also made in Portugal, they come in a wide variety of styles for both Men and Women and feature their NonSlip-NonMarking rubber soles.

I have had a lot of boat shoes over many years. The old standby makes have declined in quality, and even in their heyday were lacking in walking comfort. I tried the Dubarry Commodore XLT boat shoe a couple of years ago, and there is no turning back. These are by far my favorite boat shoes ever, very comfortable, practical, and durable. The aesthetic is not terribly traditional perhaps, but as a matter of wearer satisfaction they are unbeatable. Even my favored Rancourt and Quoddy shoes seem compromised in comfort and everyday wearability in comparison.
ReplyDelete^ I own a pair of the Commodores too. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSuperb shoe! Thank you once again.
ReplyDeleteWhat's your favourite brand for boat shoes? IIRC, you have Quoddy and Sperry as well as Dubarry. Please rank your boat shoes for quality, fit and value for money.
