Agreed. It’s quite obvious someone is trying too hard when they layer, in order; t-shirt, turtleneck, polo shirt, OCBD, sweater, down vest. There’s got to be a better way.
The right layer(s) might be more versatile than many imagine. The old Adirondackers wore their long johns year round. Their perspiration was kept cool by the extra layer lying close to the skin. Their were their own air conditioning systems.
Not enough Duffle coats Muffy . I've a couple of midi length Monty Gloverall ( long ones were given away when I quit public transport after university ) and they suit a lot of casual to not too formal outfits .
I may be wrong here, but I get the impression that, like me, you are looking forward to autumn? (lol !)
