These are really good photographs. An old and close friend of mine is one of the top avian photographers in southern New England. His photos have been published in the venerable Connecticut Ornithological Journal. He would be proud to call these photos his own. Thank you for posting them.
We have a nesting pair of eagles that has been living on the edge of one of our fields for the last few years. They are definitely difficult to photograph.
Fantastic photos! I miss seeing the ones near where we used to live. They left the area just before we did, not sure if their food supply ran out or what, but they were amazing to see.
Lovely to see. I grew up in Nova Scotia, and there was a giant Bald Eagles nest across the water from my grandparents' house. We'd often see Osprey fishing the harbour as well. Being in a big city now we don't have many eagle sightings. The raptors we see are Red Tails or Coopers Hawks floating over the valleys and the occasional Peregrine on buildings downtown.
