  2. It certainly is! Here in Eastern PA it was 27 at 7 AM. Saturday is supposed to be 81. So crazy. I do love your sweater! --Holly

  3. speaking of visiting relatives or house guests, we recently hosted one of my spouse's closest grad school friends for a few evenings. The friend is talkative to the point that she would be an ideal choice to filibuster unwanted Congressional legislation, though. We really enjoyed catching up, but we both felt somewhere between sensory overload and exhaustion by the time the friend left.

  4. My mother always said that fish and house guests start to stink after three days. She and my father would come halfway across the country to visit and leave after three days. She has been gone forty years, and this is one of the many ways she is remembered.

Each season ought to give way to the next after three months. Sadly, such is not the case, be it a northern winter setting in by late October and exiting in April or a Texas summer, kicking off in April and fading, hopefully, in November.

    1. I have heard the "house guests, like fish" proverb attributed to both Benjamin Franklin or Dr. Johnson.
