We went to the harbor in search of lunch and came back with this morning's freshly picked lobster and Swedish Cardamom Bread. The Cardamon Bread was quite good, but bore little resemblance to my Swedish grandmother's Cardamon Bread. And the lobster, dipped in melted butter, was superb. Only fruits and vegetables for the rest of the day.

There's nothing quite as wonderful as fresh lobster right from the dock in Maine. Great post!

ReplyDeleteBoothbay Harbor Shipyard and their original ways. It's intriguing how it works. The Boothbay Town Office weathervane was a gift from one of the oldest families on the peninsula.
ReplyDeleteJust perfect! Thank you, so very much!
ReplyDeleteNever liked seafood of any kind, but that bread looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteis there a name for that?
DeleteLobster right out of the water is fabulous. I would have come home with a container of chowder and a mesh bag of steamers to boil too.
ReplyDeleteBeing a diplomat living in Helsinki, I'm fortunate that I can't walk far without passing shops offering delicious pulla. Unfortunate for my waistline.
ReplyDeleteLobster, on the other hand, is much harder to come by.
