Maine-based The Muddy Dog has produced a line of jaunty, customizable cornhole sets for those who want to invest in something personal (and beautiful), something they will have for a long time, and something that will improve the scene. For weddings, parties, lobster bakes, summer house gatherings...
Technically, cornhole is a lawn game in which teams takes turn tossing bean bags underhand into an inclined board with a hole, typically 27 feet away.
And while some people take it very seriously (and these boards are League approved), most enjoy its low-key, highly social nature. Cornhole is playable by people of all ages and is welcoming to beginners. It is also less of a commitment than croquet, lawn bowling, or badminton.
And perhaps more importantly, it can be played with a drink in one hand.
One can mix and match Muddy Dog's always delightful images or use their own, with their customized text. (Add a location - such as your house or your family's summer house.) The design is directly UV printed on the surface, and with a finish for added strength. They also have a rope handle for carrying them around. (These are so sturdily constructed that I cannot lift one.)

Beautiful boards! Love that one can add personality to a backyard game. A good, safe, diversion for children, oldsters, and the White Claw generation.

ReplyDeleteYes. You’re off and tossing. American Cornhole Association (ACA) has approved glow in the dark bean bags. And there are several sources for glow in the dark cornhole boards. Don’t let summer’s quickly fading sunlight slow you down. Sans doute there can be September sweater weather fireside cornhole in your future.
