A timeless classic, that we would not be without! A vintage Dale of Norway is keeping me warm out in the garage as we speak, while ai tinker with the MG! Thank you!
Fantastisk (Fantastic)! Had just that model (L.L. Bean, Made in Norway) on yesterday. One of five that I've had and worn for going on 30 years. When you work with Scandinavian languages and literature, it just goes with the territory. Wearing a fancier Dale today, given to me by ol' Mom for Christmas 2000. The design made for the Norwegian Ski Team that season or the one before.
Patsy, I suspect you might be familiar with a recent back and forth on another site about tartans for the holidays and presumed cultural appropriation. ;-)
My combination of items for Monday actually looked a great deal like the above, right down to the tan corduroy jeans with the sweater, but complimented by Bean boots and red ski socks.
Devold makes nice sweaters, i wear an islender (probably similar wool to that pictured, different pattern) in the winter. Nice shout out for Saab, though they stopped making cars over ten years ago.

ReplyDeleteI think it can be underappreciated.
ReplyDeleteProbably not what you had in mind, but Autosocks saved the day on more than one occasion last winter.
ReplyDeleteAhh, yes, this is timely indeed. I've been considering and reconsidering retirement in either Denmark or Norway because they tick many boxes for me.
ReplyDeleteRefined, cultured minimalists with a love for everything outdoors…hits my sweet spot for sure! I will be right behind you Twisty!

ReplyDeleteKind Regards,

I guess that's ok, as long as you don't wear the Norwegian Ski Team tartan....
Delete@Patsy even though it's just Jan 11, that will be hard to beat for comment of the year. :-)
Deletedon't forget döstädning (swedish death cleaning), wear whatever the hell you want
