This Time of Year...

Photos by Salt Water New England
Some years, autumn comes gradually, piece by piece replacing summer.  This year, it seemed to come fast and hard after being postponed for too long.

  1. Yes in Virginia too (extended summer temperatures with a sudden turn to fall temps and leaves turning/dropping). Lovely photos! Happy Halloween Muffy.

  3. You know, I think some of those gravestones should be kept indoors. But I only know of one place where that's been done.

  4. Love the vivid tree colors, Muffy! We don't get kind of splendor here in Atlanta and, this year, we haven't seen much color at all yet. Fingers crossed for November.

  6. We're still waiting for fall here on the north shore. I still have geraniums blooming in my window boxes.

  7. Terrific images. I was driving up 95 through northern Maryland over the weekend and the colors were wonderful. Seems the cold is suddenly upon us.
