Love those wooden houses! And it's amazing to see people wearing jackets. I think I need to live in New England from Easter until ... well ... actually all the time. :-)
Great pics! Thank you for sharing. In pic #1 the SGT on the far left had been stationed in Alaska at some point during peacetime in the Army. The center SGT spent some time overseas; unclear whether Asia or Europe. Looks like during peacetime as well. The gentleman on the far right spent some time in Vietnam and is a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Love the DI in pic #10. The hair might not be as high and tight as it used to but that mouth could easily reduce you in a second! Nice to see them taking today to honor our fallen. - hrplo
A beautiful and dignified series.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pictures and thanks to all the people who took the time and put forth the effort to honor those who died while serving our Country.

ReplyDeleteExpert Infantryman Badge. No campaign medals. No CIB.

ReplyDeleteCorrection: 1st SGT - Anonymous at 2:35p.m. is right - CIB. My bad! - hrplo
DeleteI think the buck sergeant in the 1st photo, on the left, has an expert infantryman's badge, not a CIB.
DeleteLovely photographic tribute to those who have given so much.
ReplyDeleteJust perfect! Thank you.
