School Chairs

  1. Wonderfully well built, sturdy chairs. I put the kids in the Bowdoin summer camp when they were little. Their joke was they went to college before they entered the first grade. Beautiful campus in the pines.

  2. Have mine from Ohio Wesleyan. One of my most cherished possessions. I love how worn the arms are!

  3. I received mine as a gift from colleagues at my former school when I left to become Department Chair at the school where I presently work. It is magnificent and one of my treasured pieces of furniture.

  4. My grandfather's preferred perch for parties was his Penn chair, even into his 90s he would at least make a show of trying to get up from it to greet newly arrived guests.

  5. We see them at estate sales and auctions and snap them up, then repaint and give away to children and grandchildren. Indestructible.
