When they removed the headstones, they didn't remove the bodies. We have one of the most historic buildings in the country here. Sadly, we do not have a town green, per se. There are lots of "areas" that one can go relax, read a book, within the city limits, but no town green to speak of. --Holly in PAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714922182513339530.post-19966011360828135822021-10-01T11:43:59.125-04:002021-10-01T11:43:59.125-04:00also woodstock, vermontalso woodstock, vermontmchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02944862466884572649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714922182513339530.post-17274264696692037262021-10-01T06:08:03.524-04:002021-10-01T06:08:03.524-04:00Longmeadow, MALongmeadow, MAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714922182513339530.post-90966220425943019552021-09-30T19:16:29.452-04:002021-09-30T19:16:29.452-04:00Another vote for the Lebanon, Connecticut town gre...Another vote for the Lebanon, Connecticut town green: a walking path of almost two miles, working farms, three churches, and historic sites like the Connecticut Revolutionary War headquarters and the home of the colonial artist Jonathan Trumbull. It is tremendous, unspoiled, an oasis of old New England and a treasure trove of Revolutionary War historical sites. The Wethersfield Green CT Cohasset, MA and Walpole NH Greens are also awfully nice, and New Milford CT Green at Christmastime is the best. This winter, if you are in the area, -try standing there at 6 pm with all the little Christmas trees lit with colorful old-fashioned lights, and the church bells playing.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09692960564097864113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714922182513339530.post-28224712980065144882021-09-30T08:34:30.466-04:002021-09-30T08:34:30.466-04:00Though from Essex, CT, my choice is Guilford, CT.Though from Essex, CT, my choice is Guilford, CT.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08896768240118843070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714922182513339530.post-74092384322193238442021-09-30T07:09:06.252-04:002021-09-30T07:09:06.252-04:00Worthington Ohio...charming ...lovely. since 1803...Worthington Ohio...charming ...lovely. since 1803<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714922182513339530.post-88677425390239362682021-09-30T01:36:57.409-04:002021-09-30T01:36:57.409-04:00I was lucky enough to grow up with Hampstead Heath...I was lucky enough to grow up with Hampstead Heath at the end of my street. To get to work every day I would walk across Primrose Hill, then through Regents Park by the zoo, and spend each 9 to 5 on Baker Street. Selfridges was our 'corner shop'!
