However, I line dry shirts, some pants and a few other things. I'm sure that prevents any shrinkage but also because I think it results in the fabric having more "body," if you understand what I mean. Of course, when I was single, shirts went to the laundry. If you line dry and crave softness, toss it in the dryer for 5-10 minutes, not an hour. It works for me.
