Those are State of Conn DEEP employees. They are tagging, for counting, saltwater sparrows. This is a small 4.5” - 5.5” bird. Rising tidal marshes affected by global warming are pushing the birds away from traditional nesting grounds in marshlands closer to the coast.
All wonderful summer images! My three favorites are the sheep, chicken, and the two ladies of a certain age walking.
