Made in Austria, A Navy Car Coat from Cordings

The car coat was originally invented in the early 1900s to be worn for protection from the elements in open-top automobiles.   

While they can be of a variety of materials, Cordings' Harold Coat for Men is made in a wool and cashmere blend loden cloth, making it soft and comfortable.  The coat is also fully waterproof with an innovative Sympatex lining for breathability.  Made in Austria, and more versatile than a pea coat, the Harold feels understated and ageless, as appropriate on a college campus as a corporate retreat.
It is medium weight for when a full shooting coat is too much. I sized up on mine as I tend to do, to fit over sweaters.

    A very classic look. Would you also identify the sweater and pants which go so well with the coat.

    The early Sears, Roebuck catalog calls them "automobile coats."
