  1. This collection goes to 11. Great shoot. I liked the mini series zeroing in on J. McLaughlin and especially enjoyed the three liter coupe at the end. The assemblages of vegetables were good enough to make me want tomatoes and zucchini for dinner. Thank you.

  2. That station wagon is the best.

  3. Those birders, not unlike the somewhat overweight middle age man astride an XLCH, look like they’re serious about what they’re doing.

  4. “Mr. Hobbs takes a Vacation” comes to mind. No water and no dogs but who needs perfection. Certainly enjoyed all the pictures. Seeing the cucumbers reminded me of a gardening truism: cucumbers are never too small for eating. Just brush that bloom off and bite away - a taste so very different from footlongs.

  5. I usually comment on Land-Rovers, there apparently being huge numbers wherever these photos are usually taken (haven't seen any Rover sedans--yet). But last week at the beach, I spied a very striking car and even managed to speak to the owner for a while. It was a 2002 Ford Thunderbird. Not everyone's cup of tea, I expect, but it had a Jaguar engine.

  6. Love the zinnias and potatoes so fresh they still have dirt clinging to them!

  7. Someone the other day commented, in our northwest Conn corner, that “zinnias are too garish.”
Can you imagine? We say, let them grow, en abondance. Merci.
