The high height of the turned up collar tells you just how smartly designed this garment is. Another winner from Cordings.

  4. As a long-standing for over 20 years, I'm very concerned about Cordings' future.

I was in Harrogate last weekend and was shocked to find that the Cordings store had shut permanently. I wanted to try on some trousers as, during lockdown, I had to return a badly tailored pair that were unwearable.

The "contact us" page on the website says that the temporary store on Jermyn Street "is currently closed" but a friend told me that it has re-opened. When I tried to call the store's number yesterday, the line was totally dead.

I am on Cordings' email list but have not received any communications (not even January sale or the shirt and trouser promotions) in the last six months. Their competitors, such as Oliver Brown and A Hume, have been able to keep their customers fully informed throughout the Covid lockdowns.

A change of management, especially marketing and communications, is required urgently. If the current shambles continues, Cordings will struggle to survive.

Ken, I hope Mr. Clapton reads your comment. Cordings is my favorite store on the planet.

    2. I receive almost daily offerings from cording’s

    3. Ken - I spoke to Cordings. Yes, the Harrogate store has been closed as you noted and the decision was described as "heart-breaking". The phones are now working. (They have their theories as to why they occasionally do not work and are working on it.) And there is chance that you accidentally unsubscribed from their mailing list. You can sign up again if you want to receive future emails. They can't do that on their end.

Your comment was passed on, and taken seriously.
