  1. Now that Filson is in decline and Bill's Khakis is questionable, where do you all get Made In USA khaki and comparable shorts?

    1. O'Connell's are great. So are Berle's. I like a lot of things about Jack Donnelly, but I require cuffs and like other colors, particularly stone and olive.

    3. If one is a true New Englander, one doesn't need to get them, because one already has enough + some spares.

    4. Eddie Jacobs' khaki walk-shorts are 65% polyester. Check their website

    5. Of the seven pairs of shorts shown on the Eddie Jacobs Ltd. website, one pair is part polyester. The other six pairs are either 100% cotton or 100% linen.

    7. It's getting harder and harder to find any pants with 100% cotton. I swear if I see one more ad for "supreme stretch" or "performance 'cotton'". I do not want to perform in my khakis. I do not want anyone to perform in khakis. I want cotton in my khakis, not performers.

  2. I come alive in the spring and I love most things navy; most especially the look of navy against khaki. That LLBean tote is nice-looking, too!

  3. You might want to take a look at Avedon and Colby. Established by two veterans of Willis and Geiger from the days before a certain company with a poor sense of possessives took the firm over. Burt Avedon has since died but Susan Colby labors own I understand. They are using the workshops in Hong Kong that Willis and Geiger had used, at least according to their own copy. Take a look. Not Made in USA, but you might find something of interest,
