  1. Quite a few farmer's market days were cancelled last year. Let's double down this year on supporting our local farmers. WholeFoods just isn't the same anymore.

Muffy, if you open up a platform like Marie Kondo and sell locally-crafted products, I'll sign up.

    1. I think Whole Foods is better than it ever was; lower prices, better customer service and the delivery option with prime is fantastic.
That said (I'm spoiled - I live in NYC) I shop many places but I prefer a more modern, more edited gorcery store like Trader Joe's.

  2. Delicious looking, and very attractive china.

  4. Those green beans look good. I've adopted a similar style of eating as I've gotten older. If the kids aren't home, my wife and I will place some vegetables on the table, perhaps a bit of cheese or charcuterie if we have some around, and we'll slowly "graze" as we read at the dinner table.

Others find us a bit strange, but we enjoy it. My wife has always been this and fit, but a certain point, I had to accept that my rowing days were behind me and that I no longer required so many calories.

  6. Looking at this photo again this (Friday) morning, I am inspired to go upstairs to the 'fridge for a grapefruit from the crisper. While my wife The Grand Duchess likes a half with her breakfast, I prefer to peel and eat them like oranges. She actually gave me a case of two dozen pink grapefruit from Harry and David for Valentine's Day this last February, which were enjoyed in short order. Divine is an understatement.

    Best Regards,

    Heinz-Ulrich
