Thank you! It's so nice to see clean air and blue skies. I live 10 miles from the California fires. We are okay; I'm in a flat city surrounded by irrigated farmland. First a long heatwave, then power outages, now fire and ash. New England looks like heaven to this Cali girl.
A second thank you from another Californian but MA native. California can be uncommonly beautiful, but with its precarious climate (even pre-climate change) it is a very delicate beauty... the timelessness and stalwart-ness of New England is comforting. And as someone who drove his Saab cross country to move to CA (it broke down in Denver), always appreciate the photos of them!
Appreciating the positive in this post! After all... "whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

ReplyDeleteGreat photos as usual, but I do love the Saabs!
ReplyDeleteAh, an estival delight! OK, so I just learned the word from yesterday’s M-W Word of the Day but those flowers really say summer to me. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe Saabs are just about perfect; as are the rest of these photos.
