  1. I love these old photos of yours! I enjoy looking at the fashion of those days, and how closely I dress the same way today.

  2. Your photos are terrific. Keep them coming, especially these ag fair pictures. We won’t have anything to compare them to this year. All the fairs are cancelled, alas, including the Goshen “Always Labor Day Weekend” Fair.

  3. The most unusual thing (to me) in all the photos are the yoked oxen. My father spoke of using them when he was a POW in Germany for a year in WWII. I was stationed not far from where he was held prisoner when I was stationed in Germany in the 60s.

Lots of pipe smokers back then.

  8. Oh that wonderful Greek Revival church on the Green! (Looks suspiciously like the one Jack Nicholson got sick in from The Witches of Eastwick. I'll pass on the cherries...) I remember going to one of these fairs with my Connecticut Aunt and watching pulling contests with actual draft horses instead of plows. I recall the beautiful shiny brasses on their tack-now you see those in room d├ęcor!

  10. Wonderful images. There is a terrific novel to be written based on each of these "characters" herein. Where is John Steinbeck when we need him?
