  2. Is that Camden? Can't really tell. The steep downhill on the road would suggest so.

  3. I'm confused. It looks like the Nickels-Sortwell House in Wiscasset, Maine, right on the Main Street only a few hundred yards up the hill from Red's Eats. It belongs to Historic New England (aka the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities) and has been a public museum for years. When was it last in private hands?

  4. I’m pretty sure it’s the Nickels-Sortwell House in Wiscasset

    1. It sure looks like it. Unless it's a faithful imitation of the exterior of the Nickels-Sortwell house, done out of admiration. Maybe?

  5. Whenever I walk the dog, I stop and smell the lilacs -- they are just so wonderful!

  8. So pretty - house and grounds - and I love the hint of a village scene across the street.

  9. Do pretty. We have a white lilac in our backyard and it is wonderful.

  10. A glorious example of Greek Revival architecture! Love the fan windows and side lights. Add that nostalgic scent of heirloom lilacs and I can't imagine anything finer! Will have to make Camden a "must see" when we're able to get "out and about"!
