Oh yes, but I hand wash all of my dishes anyway so it doesn't add any burden. Plus, I have a many different patterns, so if some break I always have more. :)
I quite agree ! When you have these beautiful items , enjoy them all the time . We also have silver candle sticks and tall tapered candles each evening too . One day , you'll be dead and it's all over then ............
I'm not enamored with automatic dishwashers anyway...they'd strip the gold right off of that lovely china (that happened years ago when my mother decided to put my great Aunt's Limoges in there-Surprise!) Beautiful coin silver spoons-won't work on hard ice cream though!
