  2. Great pictures-That one Victorian reminds me of a Charles Addams creation with a little bit of Andrew Wyeth thrown in. Enjoyed the occasional trip to "The Block" when I was a U.R.I. student.

  5. I assume the interesting name for the ferry comes from Quonset Point, Rhode Island. I note that in the parking lot, the only imported vehicle I see is the VW bus, although there's a short wheelbase Land-Rover discreetly in the background in the photo of the man with the telescope (your father?).

    1. Good eye BlueTrain. That does look like a Land-Rover. The Quonset Point photo features more than a few fine finned specimens from the ‘fifties.
