  3. That dock used to belong to Dick and Grace Rowland whose house sat atop the bluff. Dick lost an arm in his twenties (a motor boat on Lake Michigan ran over him in his Sailfish). An advertising guy, he flew his own plane and single-handedly build a stilt house in the Georgia marshes where they'd entertain guests in the southern "fishin'fashion": rough, ready and casual. Funniest storyteller I've ever met.

  5. Know it well. A lovely, picture postcard place. Anchor your boat, open a beer, stretch out in the cockpit and enjoy the view.
