  5. Honest question, not bemoaning an era past: does anyone make that style of lightweight pant/chinos anymore? I've been looking with no luck.

LL Bean makes Tropic-Weight Pants, although after checking, it seems they only offer the Cargo Style now.??? I have worn the normal pants version of this in Stone for years, and they are great. Hope they offer them again for you.

    2. Forbidden around here, but I bought some very light summer-weight cottons chinos from J. Crew last year. They really did keep me very cool, I'd recommend them if you shop at J. Crew at all.

    1. There would be no oars on that boat. Besides, no one here seems to care about oars or wind. What's the Latin for "sexy pants"?

    2. Thanks. My Latin is a little rusty since I haven't really used it since high school (and, to be truthful, I didn't even use it then). Nevertheless, I have it on good authority that this post should be re-titled: " Donec agricolae et nautae et braccas" - "The Farmer Sailor with Sexy Pants"
