  1. I admire that sort of healthy control. This afternoon, I ate four Klondike bars in a row. They were yummy, but unsuitable for a lovely photo like yours.

  2. Like the picture - apple looks delish. Can you believe the number of varieties that are available? I recently picked out a HoneyCrisp that I just knew my wife would love and she did. I didn't even mention the shock I got at the check out counter at the local grocery when I paid for the apple. They are tasty and they are very dense which means they are very heavy which means they are pricey but it was for my lovely wife who loves apples.

  3. "Earth On Her Hands", a wonderful book about real gardeners. That book and a cup of Barry's Irish Tea would be a welcome break for me.

  4. 'Sometimes a banana or biscotti (madeleines?) with coffee about 3pm. An apple an hour before dinner helps to curb the appetite.

  6. I love apples. Will have my apple a day an hour before dinner. Just read a book about how important "when" you eat is. It is very similar to the way I was raised. Imagine that.

  7. Red apples, red seedless grades, and/or (seasonal availability permitting) navel oranges anytime, day or night. Once in a great while a bright, yellow, technically unripe banana. Especially about 10pm, when my wife and I settle in to watch an episode of (currently) Grantchester online.

    Best Regards,

  8. Love apples and I love them even more when I add a bit of Trader Joe's Crunchy Salted Peanut Butter with Flax & Chia Seeds. Yummy!
