Red Number Sail Bag from York River Traders- Made in the U.S.A.

York River Traders sent this terrific sail bag, made in North Carolina of reclaimed yacht sails by Ella Vickers, with YRT's signature flat rope handles.  A nicely finished, sturdily made bag, its handles are a good length to be used either as a handbag (as shown here) or tote.

Solid Brass Closure

  1. I like the idea of useful items made of recycled sails. There used to be a great shop in Chatham,MA that made nicely designed duffles, totes, garment bags, etc. out of recycled sailcloth. Alas, they closed up shop two years ago. However, I have a great cooler bag and carry bag from SailorBags. They use new Dacron sailcloth without the stiffening agent in it so they remain flexible. Guaranteed for life. I had a tote bag handle tear due to sun rot and they sent me a replacement bag, no questions asked. Great products and nice folks. Check them out at:

    1. I agree! SailorBags are fabulous and they stand behind their products.

  2. This bag is terrific! Love the snaphook closure and the inside zippered pocket. The flat cord handles are a very cool touch.
