  1. That's a well-worn sweater and coat!

Also, love the mint Nikon SP(?) rangefinder around his neck. I'm guessing that camera produced some, if not many of the photos in the SWNE archives?

  2. That, perhaps, is a sweater bought at Gamer on Chapel Street. Sweaters were about all they sold. One could select the plain front. The cable stitch was regarded as a bit ostentatious. One clothes conscious friend wore nothing but the cable stitch. He became known as "king cable."

  3. I'm guessing the sweater was from J. Press.

I was in the new J. Press NYC store just this week and tried on a Shaggy Dog sweater. This is a once-every-three-or-four-years ritual for me, to see if they have modified the fit -- alas, no. I adore these sweaters but for me they are strictly for very tall and very skinny body types -- simultaneously long in length and yet extremely close fitting in the torso. Shame.
