But such an elegant tattered shade.... this so timely ... because with all the Christmas preparations here, I never noticed the silk lining in two of my Chinese lamps (lampshades) were hanging in pieces. Will have to be attended to after the New Year. But yours looks far better than mine. Happy New Year -- and thanks for posting. Anne

  3. Gorgeous picture collection. It is so wonderful to see real artwork (and not prints from Marshalls). I search and search for original paintings and so rarely see any I like. Wish the kids at art school would learn to paint realistically. So sick of blobs of paint being passed off as art.

  4. The shades on my blue and white Chinese lamps need to be repaired. I need to find someone who can do it right. In the meantime, faded elegance here.
